Lightest Double Stroller
When looking for a lightweight double-stroller, its folded size and weight are important aspects to take into consideration. When not in use, choose a stroller that is simple to use and small in size. This will allow it to store it in your car trunk, and also to navigate through airport security and foreign roads.
The most lightweight strollers have a simple, easy fold that allows them to stand on their own. This eases the burden on the parent's body. A few also come with a broad range of seating configurations and can accommodate infant car seat carriers.
Kolcraft Cloud Plus
Created for families who are constantly on moving. Lightweight, with a simple one-hand compact fold. All-terrain wheels with front suspension, as well as a multi-position reclining seat accommodate children up to 50 lbs. Trays for parents and children, large storage basket and three-tier canopy with windows that peek out to maximize sun protection.
The Cloud earned one of the lowest scores on our quality tests due to a flimsy feel, hard plastic seats and a design that is old-fashioned. It's also more expensive than other strollers with a lighter weight. This is a bad option for parents looking for an affordable option.
While it's not the most light double stroller, it comes with enough features worth a look. Its swiveling front wheel makes it easy to move on flat surfaces, and it can jump curbs with little effort, unlike many other lightweight strollers that diverge when trying to do the similar thing. The Cloud's low handle is a drawback but it's at knee height, and not adjustable. It's not easy to push when your legs are dangling in that way. And the lack of padding makes it even more difficult.
During testing, we found that the Cloud was easy to set up and use. To close it, it's a bit more difficult. You must slide the slider, and then press the large white button. This can be a hassle, especially if you're juggling children while doing it.
The Cloud has a small, but deep storage basket that can accommodate a medium-sized diaper bag. The basket is a bit narrow and you may have to put something in it to reach the back. The Cloud comes with an adult tray and a child tray, each with two cup holders. However, both are too small for larger cups or bottles.
The Kolcraft brand has been around since 1946 and is a third generation family-owned business. Their first products included diapers and crib pads however, they now make a wide range of baby items including highchairs, strollers for infants, car seats and toys. The company is based in Chicago, and is an American manufacturer.
Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS
Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS is a fairly barebones lightweight double stroller that's perfect to travel with. It's extremely light at 18 pounds (lighter than some single strollers!) It folds flat to make it easy to carry and store. It also features independently reclining seats, large all-weather SPF 50 sun visors that have windows that peek out and extra-large under seat storage bags. The visors are adjustable to accommodate kids of different heights. It also has an integrated one-step parking brake and is Disney-size approved.
The swivel wheels of the Jeep are also great for navigating over bumps and uneven surfaces. The stroller does not accept car seats and therefore your children must be at least six months old and have good neck control to ride in the front seat. The stroller has an umbrella sun canopy with three panels and each seat comes with a cupholder and snack tray.
Another stroller that is extremely light is the Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend. It's a bit heavier than the Kolcraft Cloud Plus at 23 lbs, but it's amazingly thin and slim (26.5 inches wide!) It's got a lot of exquisite features that make it perfect for travel. It has a super simple fold, is very movable and fits into airplane overhead compartments and trunks easily.
The Joovy Kooper X2 tri-folds and is ultralight, like the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double or Mountain Buggy Nano Duo. It's quite similar to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS, however, it has some key distinctions. It's more expensive but offers a more shady sun canopy and better maneuverability. It has a convenient strap for carrying and can hold kids weighing up to 44 pounds in one seat.
Summer 3D Pac for Infants CS+
If you're seeking a stroller which is light in weight but also packed with features, look no further than Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+. It's not just light at only 13 pounds but also has a lot of storage, including child and parent cupholders and a sippy-cup bag for the child as well as a pocket for storage for parents and more. This stroller can also fit a child's car seat and comes with a brake that is easy to engage that is flip-flop friendly. It's designed to grow with your kids from a baby stroller to an adult stroller by attaching the car seat adapters (sold separately) and is suitable for children 6 months old and older.
Another thing to take note of about this stroller is that it only has swivel wheels and doesn't come with locking capabilities therefore it may not be the best choice for rocky or hilly terrain. It's still a good option for most families, as it is easy to maneuver on smooth surfaces as well as smooth surfaces.
This is among the smallest and light double strollers that comes with full-size features. The quick-close feature allows you to fold it down with just one hand in seconds, and it's small enough to store easily in your garage or trunk. It is also able to be used as a stroller for travel and is compatible with all car seats without the need for adapters.
The Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is different from most strollers that are lightweight because it has two separate seats that can hold up to 100 lbs. The seats feature individual leg rests, as well as three-panel canopy that has an open-top sunvisor and a peekaboo window.

The seats are padded to ensure your child's comfort. They also come with a 5-point safety harness that can be adjusted in three different height positions. Each comes with an infant cushion, which is ideal for newborns. The cup holders for parent and child, the cell phone holder and the large storage basket will be appreciated by parents. The stroller is also able to be fitted with the Yoyo+ Board, which turns it into a tandem stroller.
Joovy X2 Kooper
The Kooper X2 is an excellent choice for parents who want a lightweight double stroller that can hold two children. The sling-style seats are comfortable and provide the same amount of headroom, allowing children to be seated side-by-side. The Kooper X2 is unique in that it offers a fully reclined seat, making it an ideal choice for nap time. The recline feature is simple to use, but it doesn't really go flat. Taller children may have a leg hanging when in reclined mode. It also has a huge canopy that we found to be more effective at blocking out the sun than other options in our review of the top double strollers.
The stroller is light enough to be able to navigate through door frames. This was an important issue with other strollers we tried. It folds easily and the handlebars sit close to the ground. Its only flaw is its relatively small storage space, which feels cramped when full of kids' toys.

During our lab tests of double strollers, our team has evaluated various factors to determine how easy the stroller is to use, such as how simple it is to fold and set up and adjust the safety harness as well as close and open the brakes, raise and carry the stroller as if it were to be placed in a trunk of a car, and install and remove the infant car seat (if necessary). We've also assessed the strength and durability of each model, as well as whether it comes with a parent tray that can accommodate both child tray.
The Joovy Kooper X2 earned the top score for ease of use in our latest update of our top double strollers guide, and also one of the highest scores in our Strollers test program overall. Its easy-to-use design includes an easy-to-use, tilt-free recline with one hand with a huge canopy that rotates forward for shade, and features a mesh for ventilation you can see through when it's tilted. There are also individual child trays with built-in cup holders, zip-up parent pockets, and an extra-large storage basket.
